Archibald MacKinnon and his time in Nantwich

In 1988, the Scots Magazine printed an article about “The Man who did the Cave Painting.” That man came to Nantwich and lived here for the rest of his life. It is quite a remarkable story and this booklet helps to give an insight into his unique talent. He was the first of the three well-known artists to live in the town and paint it as it was some 20 or so years earlier. It is thought that he influenced Herbert St John Jones who lived in Nantwich over a similar but slightly later period.
