Nantwich Mill is thought to have been established around 1228. It was originally a corn mill. In 1788 the mill was converted into a cotton-spinning mill. In 1874 it reverted back to being a corn mill.
In the 20th century other parts of the mill became a foundry for the manufacture of agricultural implements including cheese presses.
In the 1950s it became Boughey’s Mill distributing BOCM (British Oil and Cake Mills Ltd) products whilst the lower floor of the disused fustian mill became the Riverside Billiards Club; there was also a gymnasium.
Nantwich Mill was destroyed by fire in 1970 and demolished in November 1972.
