Cheshire in the English Civil War Vol 1 1641-1643

Transcribed by Keith Lawrence, this is the first of two volumes of texts from the period of the involvement of Chester in sending troops to Ireland during the Irish Rebellion of 1641 and the events in Cheshire during the First English Civil War (1642-46). It covers the period 1641 to 1643 and describes the events leading up to the Siege and Battle of Nantwich, transcribed from the broadsheets, and government publications of the time.
