Life During the Siege and Battle of Nantwich – Wednesday 19 May, 2pm

At 2pm on Wednesday 19 May 2021, Helen Cooke will deliver an online talk (using Zoom) about live in Nantwich during the English Civil War. Prior to the Battle of Nantwich in January 1644, the town (the last Parliamentarian stronghold in Cheshire) was besieged for around six weeks. This talk will explore what life would have been like at the time and the impact on people of events leading up to the Battle.

If you wish to attend, you will need to purchase your place at least one hour before the talk – and joining details will be sent via email.
