Get lost in the past this Christmas with
‘Nantwich Pubs‘ by Andrew Lamberton and Bill Pearson
Still struggling to find a Christmas present for that difficult relative or friend? Nantwich Museum could have the answer with our book of the week entitled ‘Nantwich Pubs’, £11.95.
The book tells the history of 150 different public houses in historic Nantwich. It will reveal which pub kept pigs on their premises and which establishment was prosecuted for selling arsenic laced beer to a child. You will also find ghostly tales and stories of murders.
‘Nantwich Pubs’ is well illustrated and covers far more than just the pubs. It also helps unravel the history of the town.
The book can be purchased online at:
Alternatively please pop into Nantwich Museum on Pillory Street and purchase a copy.
The Museum is open Tuesday – Saturday 10.30am – 4.30pm.
A book purchase is a great way of supporting Nantwich Museum, a registered charity.
