This month’s regular Coffee Morning at Nantwich Museum on Friday 29th June 2018 is one of over 2,500 EqualiTeas events throughout the country celebrating the 1928 Equal Franchise Act, which finally gave men and women over 21 years old the right to vote on the same basis. It is an opportunity to celebrate the ninetieth anniversary of the legislation as well as enjoying excellent refreshments in the attractive surroundings of the museum galleries.
It is also a prelude to an autumn exhibition at the museum inspired by the centenary of the Representation of People Act of 1918 entitled “Empowerment of Women – a local perspective”.
Coffee Mornings are held 10.30 am – 12.30 pm in the Millennium Gallery on the last Friday of each month (except bank holidays) in aid of museum funds.
