The Museum is run almost entirely by our team of over 50 volunteers. In addition, there are three members of staff: the manager, part-time administrator and Saturday assistant. Running costs (staff, heating and lighting, repairs, etc.) amount to over £60,000 per year, over half of which has to be raised through donations, successful grant applications and other fund-raising activities. Although we do not charge an entry fee, your donations, however small, are greatly appreciated. When making your Will, you may wish to leave a legacy to support the work of a charity.
At Nantwich Museum we seek to tell the story of the town’s rich history using our collections which are held in trust for the community and to provide a centre for the inspiration, learning and enjoyment of all. We aim to serve the local community by providing a learning service and Dementia Friendship Group.
The Museum is an independent charitable trust dependent on grants, donations, commercial activities and sponsorship.
A legacy could be used to:
- Maintain the Museum’s collection
- Enable the purchase of significant local artefacts
- Fund exhibitions and events
- Finance capital projects such as new display cases, lighting systems etc.
